Through Softwood Books, I had the opportunity to work with Walter Hunt on his memoir of a lifetime playing, watching, and writing about football.
In collaboration with the client, we opted for a modern and minimalist cover design that still fits within the design landscape of sports memoirs. Centred around the concept of vintage cigarette cards using a portrait of Walter himself, we chose a team-neutral purple that's playful and quirky.
